Gave MAJOR dubious consent in the beginning, no reason for why she would then start liking him, so then it was semi-Stockholm from her jumping from a miserable life with her parents to a life where she has to understand his way of being and be the only one adjusting. Him not acting like a maniac ALL the time around her isn’t him compromising. That’s just being a person living in society.
Thing that bugs me the most is how cheery this is for being a gang related romance. Like I get she was treated like a doll, but like, my dude… your dad has been in this life your entire life and you’re getting shocked at what that entails??? (Her getting shocked at seeing someone beat up or something not even that hardcore for gang activity)
I love me some toxic stories but the spice is mid tier (which is high for hetero porn), plot dev for the romance has no flow, and overarching story is just annoying since half of it is the boss’ wife wanting to bone his heir and getting pissy that he doesn’t want to and knocks up someone else.
I’m stopping at 57 cuz this first half isn’t giving me hope for it to get better for the next arc, which I’m assuming will be the dude trying to maintain his heir status to take over and being a dad as a side gig (but having mommy do all the child rearing as daddy manages her rear - I’m convinced that he’ll eventually do anal with her).
