Story was too short, so I didn’t get as invested as I’d like. Smut was pretty good and parts weren’t egregiously large, which was a huge breath of fresh air. Kinda wish blonde was more expressive with facial emotions tho; was hard to see if she really cared much from her face. At least she was honest about her feelings tho, so that made up for it. And ex-gangster unnie was mega cute.

Weirdly ok with this even tho they have the dad/son thing going on probably because they show how they 1) aren’t actually and 2) are both mentally really not all there. Oh plus 3) there was a HUGE gap of separation so he didn’t actually get to raise him like a family would for most of his formative years.

Like from Nanmun (I’m messing that up), he was abused by a cult in his childhood and then raised by a deranged gangster = def not typical mental development, so then his whole thing with wanting a fam is his one and only dream/goal, so he can’t lose that connection, even if he’s in love with Pul-Gyun (think I got that one right).
And from Pul-Gyun, he was a huge case of child neglect and abuse from the caretakers he spent most of his life with and only got 6 years with the one that actually cared, so of course he’ll hold onto Nanmun till the end of time. Plus the way that last uncle trained him to be deranged, just permalocked his mental development on the psychotic track.

These two will have to just build their own version of ‘normal’ and I feel like the story does a good job of portraying why they work well together despite all the unconventional things people see in their relationship. Honestly, I just MEGA commend the brothers that don’t hide Nanmun for this relationship and recognize that this is his only way of happiness. Like I would've thought more 3rd parties would kick a fuss, but was happy they never gave him flak for it.

Also I love the spice with this couple. Art is great, consent is always there (yes I know they’re not mentally all there, but it’s obvious they need eachother), and I love how they make both partners expressive and vulnerable throughout, clearly portraying their satisfaction and enjoyment. Being on the spectrum, I value it highly when emotions are conveyed well (especially during spicey time, since that’s often overlooked) through facial and body expressions, since it helps me learn what to look for when interacting with others and helps ease my social anxiety. This is also why I tend to read comics more than novels (though I do enjoy novels as well!).

Last note: the communication here is also pretty damn good once they each feel more stable in their connection, so it’s pretty endearing to see and doesn’t give me the ugh from the classic a.k.a overused ‘miscommunication to cause drama’ trope.

For some reason, ALL the manga I had saved as Reading or Want to Read are no longer there, but I'm finding many manga that I know I was reading (and had notes letting me know where I left off and current impressions) are now marked as Already Read, and all my notes are gone. So now I have no idea how many of these I actually completed or where I even left off with them.

This is a HUGE problem for me now. Has anyone else had this happen to their account?
If anyone has a fix that doesn't require me to do the completely unreasonable task of manually going through all og these again, or just deleting my account and restarting (basically the same thing), PLEASE I need help.

a lot of my alr read series are moved to the want to read list, my old want to read + reading + notes are gone just like yours. My only tip is to put hashtag on each one you read, ts saves me time in cases like I want to reread, or just want to read that genre only. Idk if this will help, but the old list aint comeback yo~ im hopeless too ╥﹏╥

Aaaand now it looks like they wiped my rating of some of these (not all), along with wiping the notes/comments I had on them. I get this site might not get much love, but how is this the first time this has happened to me in a decade?? T-T

TY! I moved/edited like 5 titles, but I'll stop for now and just hope I'm a lucky user that gets their stuff fixed eventually.
On the plus side, it looks like more of my reads than usual seem to have the right chapters logging as having been read (grey text rather than the white unread), so i guess silver linings?

Gotta find a win when you can ^^’ I guess it’s also a good reason to reread things too, lol.

In past years they were able to recover it. After a crash of this nature, lists seemingly get wiped.
Did a bit of research, a list wipe happened in maybe 2024. A ratings wipe (I think it was also lists?) happened in 2016. The reason we didn't notice is because stuff was able to be recovered. Probably happened more.

This time, developers were unable to recover everything as the disk containing lists information crashed. The data was lost, and they can only recover from rated/tagged works now. Which is why people are noticing.

I'm unsure of if the notes are coming back though. Maybe take note on what you remember you rated, and see if their ratings come back later? Update me if they do, this is interesting stuff.
SPECULATIVE: They MIGHT be recovering works first, and then recover the other information tied to it later as iirc, some people's tags didn't come back properly as well. We don't know how exactly the recovery process works, so this is just me staying hopeful. Especially considering they've said they still have rated/tagged data. I haven't seen this in action, so don't take my word as truth.

Someone already posted it here (thank you!) but here is my FAQ

Ty! Yeah, I'll try to keep an eye on it and update you if anything changes on my end, at least. I never noticed those past crashes either. I just assumed it happened when I was off binging on my other hobbies (I have way too many that I cycle through at random). I just started getting back into my reading hobby about a week ago and ran into this then T-T
