I totally agree. I’m always excited to read until I see the bottom screaming this bullshit like, STOP PLEASE, WAIT, I DON’T WANT THIS. And it completely turns me off. It always feels like a rape scene. They can just call each other’s names and moan, we don’t need all this bullshit.
seems old-fashioned from the times where enjoying sex for women was treated like a real sin and the only thing to break it to allow pleasure in fiction is expressing not liking it and feeling forced to have pleasure. japanese stories seem to grow out of it, korean ones are kinda still there.
I totally agree with you in almost all of manhwas both yaoi and hetero the consent is loose or not existing entirely and the male leads do not listen are not gentle, are not careful, but there is one more thing that is standing out to me in some manhwas, the expressionless faces or almost expression less faces, it feels cold and with no emotion, no love, no excitement, no nothing, also the approach to sex the initiation to it is kinda bland idk, these male leads have no game. That is why I didn't like the whole sex that is portrayed, all of it.
Sex scene was really disappointing honestly. Ive really begun to hate sex scenes in Korean BLs because they are either noncon or the bottom/uke is constantly saying no, stop, wait, it's too much. It's like Korean writers are scared to show a uke who is actuly really into it and wants it. You've shown him basically begging for sex for chapters on end but now that he's having it it's no, stop, I don't like this, wait. These BL writers sure know how to write the stalest sex scenes.
