Perfectly worded it. Baekhee isn’t stupid for not leaving/not fighting gyeom(and fighting an abuser is NEVER easy as people imagine it unless they’ve been in that situation) and it’s a losing game. people who are confused as to why baekhee even fell for go gyeom in the first place, we literally just heard what baekhee went through. he had no one BUT go gyeom by his side. despite how horrible go gyeom ended up becoming, at one point gyeom was baekhee's friend, lover, his pilar of support, he was the only person baekhee could hang onto. baekhee has known gyeom since he was a kid, and he is sadly the closest person to baekhee there is.
we know he doesnt even like gyeom anymore, he's deluding himself because thats his only route to survival, he HAS to get out of gicheon because his dad is coming to kill him and the only guy who has the power to actually protect him is sadly go gyeom. baekhee knows this, which is why he chose to stay with gyeom despite it all. their relationship is toxic to its core, there is a clear power imbalance between them, but baekhee is at gyeom's mercy and go gyeom knows it all too well.
