i made one friend by coinky dink on bato and she had other like minded friends. so she put all (5) of us in an enrichment cage (discord server) and called it a day. i never thought i'd find my own kind of people but its honestly awesome that it happened. i would say a luck factor is definitely involved but you gotta reach out to other ppl if you are interested in being friends with them. it pays off. trust. and also we're all grown ups so we don't mind when we get a reply/response to a message lie even if its after a few days or if one of us goes off the grid for months together at a time its fine. so don't expect too much from the other party and chillax yourself. just go with the flow and you are bound to "find your tribe" as they say
When I transferred schools for the first time I didn't give a shit about what people will think of me and then at a party, this person, whom I assumed was mean, talked to me and then I said "I read smut comics." I was waiting for them say "It is a sin." but they replied "Worse. I read GL."
Now I'm friends with them and we talk abt our interests and even give recs to each other.
Sometimes people soft launch their interests. Now another one of my classmates said that they watched a movie but there is a WLW couple. They praised the movie and it's plot.
There are so many people in my class that read comics.
Nvm that, I suspect that my elder sister reads BL and even my younger sister (she doesn't hide it) ships male kpop idols
Tbh the homophobics ones actually read/watch LGBTQ.
