I’m at chapter 18, and I’m really close to dropping this story. The female lead’s words conflict with her actions. She “wants to have a quiet life,” wants her parents to be happy, and always won’t interfere with Lady Irene and the Crown Prince’s relationship. Yet, she goes to the palace as a queen candidate, intends to become Empress, and thinks she needs to act mean (like og villain)?? There’s a clear solution to her initial problem, so why is she doing all this and causing more fuss, for both her and her parents?? Her words contradict her actions, and it pisses me off.
