From the first chapter I thought it was Yuri too, so I checked the genre but my disappointment didn't last long cause the art was pretty good. The pacing was a little wonky, like I understand that the aunt pestered the queen to prove the point that the king was neglectful, but did it really have to go on for 10 years ?? (And it's not even aimed at the right person, like how come she tormented the queen for so long yet acted like everything is fine and dandy to the kings face, and when the moment came that he confronted his sister, all she did to him was have a normal conversation and choke him a little)
It kinda makes sense tho, cause only someone so dedicated to revenge for her childhood "friend"(cough cough ..love) would go so far as to try to revive her. The motive is there, and I understand that by the end the evil powers skewed her reasoning, however I don't understand why from the begining the villainess hated the fl, for empowering the queen. The villainesses whole purpose was to open the kings eyes to how he mistreated the previous queen, so I would stand to reason that she wanted something to change. I also really didn't get why the fl ran away from the knighthood, like yes she wanted to find her duty, but she had strong bond in her kingdom, her parents seem like good people, the crown princess is a bit strong willed but does care for the fl, which is why I don't get what prompted the fl to run away and ghost all of the people she held dear just to end up a maid in another country. And why is she so adamant about making money, she didn't grow up poor, she's not interested in material things, from what I know living as a normal maid she had a roof over her head and regular meals, it puzzles me because there is nothing to explain her attachment to money.
Anyway, even tho it's not a Yuri, I do like the ml, he's kind, caring, attentive to the people around him and he was not scared of putting his all into supporting the fl, plus he's capable and handsome, so despite the fact that the queen is very cute and has shown imense growth throughout the story, I do not mind that they didn't end up together.
Despite the rant, I did genuinely like the manhwa, nothing too traumatic, the plot holes don't really matter cause it's a feel-good happy-ending romance, the main leads seem like well adjusted individuals that serve as good examples for how one should treat others, so all in all staying up all night to read this was worth the time.
