I agree with you to a T. But at this point, most bl fans are easy to dismiss such stuff as rape bc the authors also downplay it to the point that readers can just ignore those just because this and that. Don’t let their chibified moments fool you ngl
OMG, this is so real. Sometimes I feel weird because I find myself being the only one who can’t get past the rape, while all the comments are talking about how beautiful their relationship is and all that bullshit.

This was such a difficult read. I picked it up because of how much praise it gets online, and someone had recommended it to me before, so I had really high expectations. But chapter 2 broke me! I decided to keep going because everyone kept saying it would get so much better and all that bullshit. I almost lost my mind trying to get through this shit. 60 chapters were literally just rape, abuse, and self-harm.
And the ML is genuinely disgusting. The way he was always warning the bottom about alphas and bad people when he’s literally the worst person you could ever meet. And the way he tortured that guy and the bottom’s father, while acting like he was the best thing that ever happened to the bottom and his savior It was honestly so embarrassing.
I finished it hoping maybe I’d change my mind and start liking it, even just a little, but my feelings didn’t change at all. The situations in the last few chapters were cute and enjoyable, but it was the moments I enjoyed, not the characters.
And the way omegas are treated in this story is complete bullshit. Omegas are basically treated like women in a patriarchal society, so if feminism has finally emerged to fight for women’s rights in our world, there should be movements in theirs fighting for equality regardless of secondary gender. Having people treated like shit because of their secondary gender in this day and age makes no sense. Authors really need to build their worlds with some logic.
Also, how did the ML’s parents have a child if they were both alphas? And why can’t lesbians get pregnant in this world?
Anyway, this was honestly a bad read and it’s so so so overrated . I know I’m probably going to get a lot of hate for saying this, but whatever. I think two stars is more than enough. And I really wish ML fans would take a step back and rethink things, cause regardless of how much you love him, calling him a green flag? That’s bullshit.
