Aside from the fact that we got a VERY easy and convenient reason for the beta's engagement to be broken off (it's often in the background, so if it was gonna be easy to break off, why bother including it), he's still clingy and toxic despite telling the alpha that they drove the omega away--even though the alpha wasn't toxic or clingy, and the omega is kinda at fault for this too since he has shown his own toxic/problematic tendencies. Heck, he even kept tabs on the omega; there's literally no development for his character. All we get is the omega becoming problematic rather than the beta becoming a better person.
I'm just here for the alpha; he deserves SO MUCH BETTER. Don't read too many omegaverses like that.
