Yesssss I love it thank god someone actually knows myth too! I hate all these people romanticing Eros as a a fluffy true love angel like he's cupid or something! Cupid just his rebranding
If anything, that would be his mom's job, Eros literally the god of sexual desire, and forced love is his MO, like. He is def a trigger warning kind of character.
And yes I adore this author's take and then just making it fun and perverted lolol

The myth nerd in me is satisfied with how the author is twisting the story.
The story of Psyche and Eros is told entirely through the performance of an Wandering Bard. Using "Los" as the name of the 2nd ML(?), a bard, is a interesting play of word because there is a Wind God who helped Eros protect Psyche when he wasn't able to.
This Wind god also appears in another story where he fell in love with a Human Prince. This led to a love triangle between him, the prince and another god(Apollo). It's not part of Eros and Psyche's story but it's so cool how the author made use of it here.
MC(Psyche) being compared to Pandora opening her box is also a reference to how Psyche often gets confused with Pandora, due to both of them opening boxes that they weren't supposed to.
Also, I love how the author referred to ML as Eros instead of Cupid. I'm tired of seeing Eros depicted as some pure hearted angel so seeing him being paired with trigger warnings was kinda refreshing. This dude was a menace to the angel and gods society, forced love isn't a cute thing!!
Anyway, I'm not sure what role the King is suppose to reference, but him mentioning the god of war(Ares) is so funny because that's ML(Eros)'s Papa! Very intriguing story, can't wait to see more.
