Im ngl i didnt read the whole thing only saw previews of pics so idk how in-depth the author went with the trauma
but i can kind of see it making sense. He was raped as a kid and survived the incident, but if he received no help— he’d likely attempt to rationalize what happened to him throughout the years. No healthy coping method = normalizing the behavior in some way to make sense of why he and his mother “deserved” the treatment. He’s not only dealing with sexual trauma, but the unresolved grief of his mother from such a young age. Yeah, that would definitely fuck up a person who doesn’t have any healthy outlets… in that sense, I sympathize with him (as a kid, but as an adult… um… yeah i cant defend alladat
Omg idk why my whole thing got cut off :/ but i also said: As someone who was a victim of csa, I can understand why he would be replicating such behaviors (sexual abuse, rape)
In my case, I began to rationalize it, question if it was the “normal” thing for people to do. Assuming the abuser in this story was under severe mental stress due to the unprocessed sexual trauma he went through and the lack of help to his mental stability, he could’ve been rationalizing a lot of horrible things during all those years (as a child still taking in the reality of everything he survived).
as i mentioned, i didn’t read the story bc… i mean i dont really wanna read abuse material. But if the author didn’t go into depth about the trauma, it was likely just poor execution of showing how exactly it affected him/turned him into an abuser
Yeah, it's a shitty representation of an abuse victim. The author showed one panel of the abuser's past, where he was raped as a child next to his dead mother, who was stabbed, and it didn't expand his perspective and what he was going through, just that one scene. It felt like it was just thrown in there so the author could excuse why they made a rapist character in this story, or a way for the audience to go "ah, so that's why."
Either way, it's a short story, they probably only wanted to make a rape fetish manhwa, which is pretty obvious.
But I also wanted to share what I thought of it as another victim of CSA. It's good to share awareness on the topics on mental health and abuse, even if it's under these sorts of stories.
I don't care if people enjoy this sort of genre, I won't shame them for it. We all have our preferences. I just want people to be aware of what they're reading so they don't harm real people and experiences while enjoying this sort of content.

NOT EXCUSING HIS ACTIONS, PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END!!!
Yeah, his logic his shit. However, this is one can possibly happen to a victim who grew up without proper treatment and help. He was raped right beside his dead mother as a child, and no one did anything to bring him justice. So now that he's come across another thief, he's doing something called projection. He remembers what happened to him as a child and believes that now, he'll be able to get satisfaction by raping him, just as what was done to him.
It's a disgusting, dangerous logic, but it can happen. This is why mental health and trauma should be taken seriously.
