He took more of an elder brother role in raising her too. So more like just an older kid looking out for her than actually adopting into the family. Even the others in the village call her his "sister"
Gotta also remember in Asian countries it's common to call older kids in the neighborhood brother or sister. It's a term of endearment not really a sibling dynamic. She's adopted into the village as like a child of the village not necessarily into his family.
And considering his young age when they met... It's be super weird to call him her father figure when he was still a kid himself.

I'm from Asia and noticed how I didn't even care about the age gap and their dynamics because what I found creepy is the difference in their appearance.

I think that depends on the context. A 7 yrs old being with a 12 yrs old is disturbing (same with 10 and 15) lowkey insane but that's just me

Exactly, they Met at that age. From the chapters we have now, they haven't even started a romance outside of maybe a small crush she has but that's after a significant time skip. He was literally too busy hallucinating his sister to think about romance with her at all.
Idrc about the reasoning cause it sounded like "oh it's okay if she's a lolicon, she's actually a 1,000 yr old dragon that has been curse". But I understand people who likes size difference... If this is a novel I would eat this up cause I can imagine whatever I want to, but seeing them together looks weird.
I have a lot of younger kids around me that I helped out throughout my life and I would never think of them as romantic interests even after timeskip. I can't help it if I'm being creeped out.

It's creepy how small the FL is compare to the ML and him calling her a kid all the time as her guardian. I like the story and would have bookmarked this if it wasn't for the "I raised my love interest" plot.
