mm 9-14 marriages were quite common and more often than not were individuals engaged at alarmingly young ages so that they would grow up able to be married when they came of age which, unlike this story, most coming of ages were not 18 so they aged her up compared to historical reality (Queen Antoinette was 14 when she was of age for marriage and was engaged much younger) However I would agree that the reminding of her being a child was a bit interesting, especially the times Zachary would say his wife was growing into a woman. I do think the reason they kept bringing up young women being married was to show the ending progression where young child marriages become old traditions for the society to move on from. The main character being a product of an arranged child marriage ultimately means more to her when it comes to changing the traditions that had initially caused her to be so unhappy. Sort of like a “this ends with me” trope. Definitely fantasy and they could have avoided the whole situation but I think the author really wanted to incorporate their take on marriages born out of convenience and political gain even if it made them seem somewhat like a weirdo at times lol
I agree with you, i think authors just wants to be realistic to that yk this actually happens and actually some cultures still practice these kinds of things and believe this is also a way of awareness yk. They actually captured the emotions people go through with these like when they mentioned that bianca wasn’t able to have a childhood due to her getting married in an early age.
Its a fantasy manhwa. Its already unrealistic...besides i come from that type of disgusting culture. I was married off at a young age and it was not like this. The authors way of potraying it is just romanticising it. If she actually wanted to raise awareness the two leads wouldnt end up togather. Its just unnecessary, weird, and fetishy.

Ok i get it its historical, so child marriages were 'common' BUT ITS A FANTASY WORLD...LIKE THERES MAGIC??? They couldve even made him a bit younger, or made her atleast a teenager but no shes 9!! A baby like even back then they wouldnt have married girls that young off. And they keep reminding us that shes a child. Like okay time travel, magic and inaccurate rep of clothing exists but you draw the line at healthy age gaps???
