I don't think anyone has a problem with Jaemin being a better person by the end. However, none of the progress of him getting there is actually shown on the page. It's all time-skips. Him learning how to get over his obsession with Taeyoon and keep a distance from him? Time-skip. Him being forgiven by Taeyoon and learning how to be in a healthy relationship with Taeyoon? Time-skip.
Like, when Taeyoon forgives him and says "prove to me that you can be a better person," and then we don't actually get to see him be a better person, but instead we get a 3-month skip and a mention of "sometimes, things were hard but we made it work," that's not a story of Jaemin learning how to be a better person by the end. To us, he's still the same Jaemin, but with a good-person-filter applied on top.
If we can see every single detail of how he was abused and bullied as a child and developed his obsession in school, then it feels kinda cheap that we can't even see a few detailed scenes of how he and Taeyoon repaired their relationship after the apology.

I'm just saying I think we need to shift our focus to smth else rather than mentioning the same thing over and over again. Like I get it the didn't do the thing you'd do in their shoes but that's the point of this story (we literally have the side characters already telling them what is the logical thing to do). Yes he's 'red flag' or whatever but if that's all that you get from this, I don't think art is for you, maybe starts with peppa pig.
