She's definitely not 'evil' in a sense that she'll do something bad, but for me I think there is certainly something 'wrong' or something horror-ish that's going on that has yet to be revealed.
That and, for the characters it's also just off-putting and terrifying that the FL's body started behaving really differently after she hung herself.
