Why is the smut not as sexy and cathartic as i thought it would be

For real as someone who has read the novel I was so excited for there smut scene also I think the main reason is cutting important parts from novel while adaptation

Cz its suppossed to be funny lmao, i laughed so hard while reading the novel in that scene
