I think they do meet or hinted that they are something more. Like, Hirano wears a ring, for example.
Wait what do you mean? They ARE together currently, and a lot of ssmy came out before they got together in their own manga so it just isnt talked about but it is assumed (the ring as the person above mentioned)
Will they actually end up together? If the timeline in this story and the main story are the same, the main story doesn't show whether they ended up together or not. It even felt like they didn't meet up for quite a while after hirano graduated
