THIS IS PEAK I got so so so fuckin frustrated around the latter middle because I felt like it was an endless cycle, the story constantly became twisted, you have to pay attention so you don't get lost. BUT HONESTLY WOW. I can tell a lot of planning went into this.
I'm not a huge fan of the evil vs good god concept but I honestly don't even mind in this case. I wanted that devil to perish so badly. This story is really really dark and angsty, the romance boardering on obsessive and toxic even between the two leads, which I think was supposed to BE the point? Because the goal was freedom. She was being tortured because of the curse and she hates oppression.
MAAAAN. I like how in their search for room of Truth, we the readers keep unlocking more and more details, it gets really confusing sometimes because the timeline and flashbacks get jumbled up together but it's so interesting. To think a century has passed for the mansion, I think I know why but I don't want to give spoilers.
I almost gave up in the middle because I felt like the plot was dragging endlessly, that's my biggest critique, but I think it was all part of a bigger concept to tie everything together considering the theme of this manhua is curses and timeloops.
Basically, my take from this. Never make a deal with the devil.
