I am slowly warming up to the story even though the plot is almost identical to my sweet demon king. I like the slow development, it doesn't feel jerky and erratic. The writer is taking their time, rightfully so, and inserting enough action scenes leading to both character development and relationship development. Slow burn has to be engaging, or else it becomes BORING, for eg, Turning. The characters don't seem out of depth and the trajectory feels almost seamless.
