I mean tbf in an earlier chapter she mentioned that she tried to go to the palace multiple times but got turned away at the gate each time. Depending on whether or not it’s well known Abby was cursed the guards might’ve not even thought to tell their superiors because it just seems like a crazy woman coming to the gates claiming to be the queen.
I’m still a tiny bit salty at Abigail, especially now seeing how much Blanche has grown up in her absence. Of not her love for Sable, I would have hoped at least her motherly love towards Blanche would have inspired her more to be present in Blanche’s life even if she never came forward as Abigail (I know she tried going to the palace and they stopped her, but tbh this being a fairytale story I DONT CARE, she could have tried harder for her daughter who would absolutely have no reason to push her back like she thought Sable would).
I guess I just feel sorry for Blanche once again needing to play the adult, with her dad obsessed with getting Abigail back, it was clear from this chapter that it isn’t the first time he lets Blanche shoulder on his responsibilities while he’s searching. Thankfully she had Verite with her but still, my girl barely has the time to breathe and be a child like Abigail was always urging her to.
