You can't treat people however you want and expect them to just stay. Heejae thinks people leave him because they can't handle the truth. No, people leave him because he cares more about himself than about them, and they can feel that. They can tell Heejae won't admit to mistakes or do anything that might make him uncomfortable if it doesn't suit him. He might show some compassion and want to be a good partner, but in the end, he's still struggling with making compromises and not being so controlling.
Garam needs to leave. Although the other guy was also an ass, he had a point. Garam did trauma bound with Heejae, and he is attached to him because nobody ever cared about his piano as much as Heejae does. But Garam is young; he doesn't know who he is without Heejae, and he needs to figure that out.
They both need a long break from each other. Heejae needs to learn how to let go and be able to make sacrifices for others, and Garam, to find who he is without Heejae's influence—find his own piano style, his own circle of friends, etc.
