The beginning of the story is quite dark. Like, the kid is a victim of pedophilia and extreme dehumanization. It get's better for him in later chapters, but pedophilia remains present in the story if I remember correctly bec. there's romance going on between him and his caretaker.

I'm not really sure bec. it's been years since I've last read this one. If you scroll down, someone said that the mc is already 20 years old.
Mc has the mind similar to a kid because hismemoeries are wiped. He works hard to function independently. His appearance is the same as he entered the facility years ago (below 16 yrs old) even though biologically, he is in his 20's

Nah I think it's because the caretaker is asexual but he does care for Toshio and likes him.
