I know a lot of people hate Amon for what he did to our beautiful mc and for just being cruel to humans... but we have to understand that he is not human. He doesn't understand feelings as you saw on this chapter. Rape is a awful, cruel and humiliating thing for us humans but for him is not. I'm not saying don't be mad at him, but just try to understand where his character come from and why he is the way he is.
I came to understand him completely after finishing the novel. At the beginning I was like "nah fuck him" but not now. I actually felt a lot of sympathy towards him without letting go my love for Gwen.
