it’s very clear that he is a victim of abuse and grooming, it’s not fair to expect a victim of repeated systematic sexual abuse to be able to just miraculously escape or run away. the boss is someone with a lot of money, why do you think he has so many guards around him, catering to his every whim? do you think someone could run from that? after being abused continuously for what looks like years? even if you wanted to argue that it’s fiction and anything can happen, you’d just be arguing in favour of bad writing. hurt people will find comfort with other hurt people, if you’re seriously confused why a victim of abuse is clinging to the one person who gives him any positive attention or care at all, media literacy is seriously dead

thank you because their comment is seriously insensitive, I cannot believe we have ppl who read yaoi and have this little of media literacy istg they read it for the sex scenes mostly and cannot take a moment to think about the plot.
I find it funny that they said "we still don't know why he remains with the old man" whole time, they gave a little backstory to why he cannot run away and just give up on the old man. further proving that, op is not taking a moment to think about the plot. very obvious that he took him in from an orphanage and is taking advantage of the fact that he did that. basically making yesung think he owes him essentially.
i think you misunderstood me. My complaint has more to do with Gyeol than Yesung if anything. Gyeol is the person he’s relying on when he, one, can’t trust him enough to tell him what’s going on, (has to baby him most of the time) two, has the undercover agent there that has been implied he knows about . In fact Gyeol does nothing to reassure or really comfort Yesung i’d argue that Gyeol is just another person that is using Yesung for his sexual needs. (As it’s been shown on multiple scenes) That is part of where my irritation stems from.. Gyeol is point blank an irrational idiot and now he’s making decisions and plans without knowing the half of what’s going on. I understand how trauma works but it doesn’t take away from the frustration as a third person viewer especially when whenever it seems there is a conversation to be had the author chooses to put in a sex scene. I didn’t flesh out my thoughts as i was typing in the moment but this is more what i meant..
And yes all they do is make panicked faces cause they’re not communicating. It’s eyeroll worthy and in fact VERY irritating
