I feel like they couldve done à better job at explaining WHY Cael wanted to die, it wasn’t because of him not getting chosen over Helios; but bc of the betrayal he experienced from Helios(whom he deemed as a brother) and Diana(who he loved), by calling him a murder and even denouncing him for a choice he made for the sake of the both of them. Regarding Hestia, God, and the whole real world thing, I think the author couldve gone more in depth regarding Hestia seeing the book and her life as separate, I think this is the second time I’ve seen MC separate their real world from the one they transmigrated or reincarnated to. I also think her love fof Cael was a little obsessive and often times dangerous, I believe the author should’ve also made it to where she learned how to live for herself in the end, her selflessness and dependence on him was worrying and I wish the author couldve demonstrated that better and even more, by showing the dangers, and her eventually learning from rhat. Regarding the villains I think both were equally at fault, in the beginning I definitely thought it was all bc of Helios, but then I saw how Diana jusy kept refusing to take advise from anyone regarding nobility, especially Madam Merope who was a significant figure in Helios and the previous Emperor’s life. Sure she grew up differently but the thing is that she wasn’t attempting to adapt or even slightly accommodate nobles in a way that would also acknowledge commoners struggles. What she wanted wasn’t for the well being of commoners, it was for her own selfish and religious desire to please “God”, she kept shaming others for their lifestyle and trying to force them into something new even if it was disrespectful. Honestly, Helios and Diana only fell in love bc she was the saintess, even if they didn’t fall in love they’d still be connected somehow, bc of politics involving the temple. Helios was 100% a coward who failed to support his wife and wisely advise her throughout everything, but even when he did it was either too late or she was too stubborn. She was too caught up with the temple and her god that she failed to acknowledge those who needed her the most, commoners. Meanwhile, Helios was a coward torn between his best friend and his wife, Cael who was betrayed and Diana who felt entitled to her own teachings (thay she didn’t follow in the end). But since Helios is not only a man but also royalty, I doubt anyone cared, especially since everything that came to light were decisions made by Diana, Helios was just someone who tried to protect her bc of his father and inability to let go. He tried to get her to talk and understand MULTIPLE TIMES, to get her to tell the truth, but she wouldn’t. He even said that he would find a way to support her and keep her as the crown Princess even if she was losing her powers, but again she didn’t want to admit ahe was losing them and wasn’t cooperating. In the end, you can see how both their endings differed based on their social status too. Regarding Cael, everything was both their fault, HOWEVER Diana’s ending was purely hers for failing to understand the complexity of her new living environment.
