Well, not the stupidest, but it's up there. MC and ML find out ML's twin has been pretending to be ML because he doesn't want someone to take ML away from them and talks about how they used to share things. ML even brings up how his brother did this with his friend before, and now he's tying to steal ML's boyfriend.
But then it gets weird. MC is mad at ML's brother, but tells them to essentially work it out because they're family and he didn't have his own family. I get it, but this is really disturbing since he is essentially saying they're both in the wrong, commenting how ML depends on his family (including his brother) and thus needs to be nicer, as well as "be more responsible" instead of avoiding his brother. This tackles abuse terribly!
And then it's weird because (as of now), it seems this "work it out because you're family" thing is working. Just like that? I doubt it. It seems MC feels bad for the brother and I feel a throuple ending. I desperately want more BLs with positive male friends and relatives, but this is forcing a relationship of toxicity.
And it's awful because we're 35 chapters in and the guys are noting that they don't really know much about each other. This is essentially a problem; this is something BLs do a lot, and I'm not a fan of that. They should explore these characters earlier and BEFORE it becomes a problem. The only reason they're even taking the next step is because MC was SA'd and ML was manipulated.
