i really love how both the MC and the ML cry. i'm sick of stoic MLs who just make a pained, wistful expression for a single panel after tragedy or heartbreak. i think there's a weird heteronormativity in a lot of BL, where one partner gets all the "soft" traits and the other gets "dominant" or stereotypically masculine traits. queer relationships are made binary. ofc real couples might have that, but i think it's annoyingly obvious in BL.
