I don't know why they keep doing this. they ruin an MC who had no tendency to be obsessive. it's really recurrent horrible story writing. but I guess anything to keep the story as long as possible. it's like watching a Mexican soap at this point.
I think korean audience likes this type of plots. Because in the end, this is not one person work they have editors etc. still upsetting bc they either farm the popularity and ruin the existing legacy (cherry blossoms after winter) or simply fuck up like this one. Still it is not too late, we dont know anything bout the ML so author can build his story then add players into the story to make him accept that he is in love.

it's just that if you see it happen so many times across different manhwas you start to roll your eyes when you see it happening again. I heard about Cherry Blossoms after winter and it's enough for me to consider the last season the final one. I'm not reading the new one.
I agree, this was one of the "toxic" manhwas I actually liked cause it wasn't that bad and I could have imagined there being a good end with a redeemed top but now it's just forcefully toxic slop

I mean it was not gold star healthy for sure but mc provided consent and was aware of the power dynamics. ML is proud to the point the idea of liking someone else feels like disrespect towards himself so he disrespects mc instead because he is in love with him. But when mc gave up on loving him he got even madder. He is childish and ridiculous, I hope the author will base these emotional waves on something solid rather than just one plain my family didnt love me story....
Well yes that's why it one of the toxic ones I liked, I always knew there was gonna be angst but I didn't know it was gonna be done this poorly and basically ruin the ml. Before he was toxic but redeemable, a person who could have a small redemption arc, we'd get some healthy relationship domestic chapters and it would all be good but now he's a straight up abuser and it feels really forced.
I highly agree with the fact it feels forced. ML was pretty nonchalant regarding school before. Even if it is jealousy, it is weird that it has escalated this quickly to the degree
author really created an unique dynamic between these two and ruined it..... how long the great mc can carry a series? we will see.
this one hurt my physically because while i had mls turn out bad bad (for example caesar) they always had similar tendencies beforehand and the mc was somewhat aware. caesar is my fave LI because of his complex writing and how his character development didn't create miracles rather than leewon shaped holes in his trauma.
this time mc was so heartbroken because he didnt even expect love, he just wanted respect. idk how the author will fix this. bc in the end, love without respect is meaningless.
