Kudos to all the fans trying to justify Riftan to his haters, but that's not my hill to die on. I actually LOVE that Riftan is the world's biggest emotionally-unregulated manbaby. It makes him more interesting! There's a hundred other stories on this website alone of the poor, abused FL learning to grow and value herself due to the love and support of a strong and perfect man. Those can be fun to read too, but I personally prefer watching two deeply traumatized individuals desperately want to love each other and be together and just be really bad at it. I want to watch them get better! As slow and frustrating as that journey may be, haha.
