Yeahh, but my only guess that Calix accidentally retained his memory because of his whatever ritual with the magician. This 5th life probably was made by the white deer so Hernan could at least getting his resolve, but Calix joined in as an anomaly because he's not supposed to retain any memories from their past life.
And since Luce now is a wealthy merchant's son, he probably wouldn't even met Calix here...
I was more thinking it was a shame Hernan and Luce aren't brothers this time. Although it seemed he married his own brother to stop Calix and Luce to be together, so maybe Luce also benefited from this new life (￣∇￣")
Hmm, i feel like Life's the very person who gets the benefit in this timeline since he doesn't need to marry Hernan and being a rich all of the sudden. But it doesn't look like he's also retained any memories from their past life. I guess he's not going to met Calix and have another person as his lover, i mean he's already rich and doesn't need someone to protect him this time. (￣ε(#￣)Σ
I'm not entirely clear what actually caused such a difference in the fourth timeline. Nvm both Calix and Hernan both retaining memories, it seems they both returned at the same time. So it's not like Calix did stuff before Hernan was aware. It's more like they're in a different reality.
Just confused when the major changes started, cause it seems like it happened well before they became "aware", so who changed things? The white deer? The magician?
