Hello guys. I have read this novel many years ago but it remains one of my fav. I'll write spoiler as below.
Is it green flag? Not necessarily. Is it red flag? Not really. It's neither.
MC : Our reincarnated war soldier, he reincarnated 4x, and this is his 5th life.
ML : his personality chance in every lifetime.
Luce : MC adopted brother & supposedly he is ML love interest in some lifetimes.

The world have magic. Male and male can be married and child can be created by magic. No yinyang. No alpha omega. Just mutual consent to create a child.

I'll tell story from the very very beginning.
MC & this luce were both street Orphans. They were not blood related. They were adopted by this uncle who raised them. They were so poor. Luce is pretty so he was being hit on a lot by creeps and MC needed to protect him.
The uncle died. MC always saw himself as stupid, so he started join like mercenary or soldier stuff, he was eager to earn money so he could send luce to magician school. Then when MC was mid teen he was recruited by aristocrat family as personal bodyguard for this young master. It was ML. ML is younger than MC. ML was kind and stuff. He taught MC to read and some knowledge. After Luce gained some knowledge as healing mage, he made luce also work in this noble family. Luce as the same age as ML. I think the gap between ML and MC was 8years.
MC fell in love with ML but he knew it was inappropriate, beside their status, MC also younger, BUT, MC loved him like non in sexual way. ML was sooo pretty. He also received same treatment like luce, creeps hit on him. ML sensed MC started liking him, so ML CHOSE to dated Luce, even tho he knew MC liked him. But it wasn't wrong, MC was older and for him he looked like creep. To not get confuse if I remember correctly it's ML probably mid teen like 16 17? (I don't remember, but he wasn't a baby).
ML deliberately made MC followed them on their date (ML & Luce). MC is very timid person ok.
Then after some years, I think MC think that Luce is all grown up now and having a good boyfriend. MC wanted to stay with ML but being mere bodyguard isn't guaranteed. So during war between human vs monster, MC joined war for 2 years. In this war if you give great contribution you could gain land and title and wealth. MC returned to ML after 2 years in battlefield.
Big Spoiler : MC asked Luce to tell ML he had returned and now he has made great contributions MC wanted to ask ML if he could like think of something for his reward from the king. Luce told MC to go away because ML hated him and disgusted by him. He hated older man liking him. MC begged but Luce turned him away. So MC finally go. ML father have been dissatisfied with Luce for so long, he told MC to ask reward for land, title and wealth. In the novel it was never clear what's the agreement between MC and ML father, what clear was ML father told MC to get that specific rewards, including which land and fief to ask from the king.
Plot twist. ML initially felt disgusted of MC as he thought MC just lusted after him like other men. But after some time he realized MC was just liking him quietly. MC was once promised to be together with ML forever. So ML waited for MC to return from battle to reconcile, he waited and waited, but what he heard was the news that MC chose to a baron and moved far away to another fiefdom. ML felt immense betrayal of their promise. Actually Luce told that lie. It never stated in novel but I think luce had long sense bothe MC and ML like each other and he just didn't like it.
Tbh the scene Luce told MC to go away and to never approach ML again was sad. MC said that luce was like a family to him, why act cruel.

Anyway return to another point. In 1st-4th timeline, MC always married Luce. ML's father made it to happen. One is to remove luce from ML's life, there are other reasons but never stated in novel. MC was a kind husband. They never intimate. MC always thought luce as family so he never hated luce. If I remember correctly, I think after some years of their marriage, let say 1 year okay, I don't remember of how many years. After 1 year of marriage, MC decided to want to divorce luce so luce can be with ML. ML who mad that MC left him and married luce, went and join war. Probably 3 years. So MC and ML waiting another years. ML returned with better achievements, I think he received title as viscoun. At least he can removed himself from his father.
1st timeline, MC told ML that he will return luce to him if ML accept his duel. They duel in front of the crowd, and MC died by ML sword.

2nd timeline,
MC woke up on his 1st year wedding anniversary with Luce. In this lifetime, he decided to not act stupid like dying. So he intended to divorce as well but still waiting for ML return from war. But something terrible happened. Suddenly MC was being framed for a crime he never did and died in execution. This was a short life.

3rd life. He again woke up at 1st wedding anniversary. Then he determined another divorce. But another event happened. Suddenly the monster attack the city and he died protecting luce.

4th life. He made a lot of preparation to divorce. He tried avoiding death flag. He sent letter to ML in battle field that he will divorce luce and he meant it. But ML and luce kept this secret in order not raise another issue. On the day ML return to war, I think, MC and Luce divorced. But suddenly before ML arrival, Luce died of poisoning. Spoiler : ML's father killed luce.
This life is very sad and long.
ML went to prison around a year or so. He suddenly was moved out from prison and moved into dungeon in ML's snowy north castle (ML castle from his reward as defeating demons in war, not Inheritance from ML's father). MC lived in captived for few years.
ML actually tried to find what happened and it was actually his father who killed luce. So ML killed him, secretly. I forgot if ML moved MC out of prison through legal or illegal meaning.
In this 4th life, ML was obsessed on MC. He had this paranoia that MC will leave him again but he also wanted to punish MC for ever leaving him. One day, suddenly MC prison's door was open. MC went outside. He even found a way to the garden. All white in snow. MC stand there and watched the moon. ML shocked to see MC wasn't in the cell and in the garden. So he hurt MC's already injured leg to make it completely limp. He wanted MC to never even dream of leaving him again.
ML then have some business in capital, so ML had to leave, he gave MC expensive fur coat. Later, ML's aide came and gave MC "strong drink", it implies that MC need to take this drink and die from poisoning. MC thought, did ML finally forgive me? Can I really die? It's okay if ML ask me to die. So MC died.
ML who returned and found MC died, went mad and crazy. He tried to revive MC in many ways. He sought out shaman and magician. And finally. ML followed MC in MC's 5th life. The 5th morning.
Another spoiler : the aide hated MC so he did kill him and made it like ML who killed MC. The aide hated MC in 1st life as well.

For context, in 1st life, MC helped rescued magical divine beast. The beast granted him reset. So MC always be reborn. But each life is "bit" different. It was supposed 3x lives. But the divine beast feel sorry for how foolish MC was. It gave MC the 4 chance to live in 5th life, but it gave MC bigger difference, and it hoped MC could finally be happy.

5th life. MC woke up at his 1st wedding year anniversary. And his husband wasn't luce. But ML. In his younger age. Like 17 or 18yo. But the catch is, this ML Inherited ML's memory from 4th life because he tried to Revived MC and died instead. The divine beast actually hated this ML for contaminating the world that it created only for MC.

This life time is much different. ML's father made ML married MC exactly for the fiefdom location and planned to kill MC to made ML Inherited MC's estates. Luce was never MC family, Luce is born in wealthiest merchant family in the country. Luce easily change lovers.
This 5th life, of course ML still stupid but it's much. Because he finally could see MC, outside prison cell and outside his job as bodyguard. MC is just very timid and kind man. With very limping leg.

MC was injured badly on his left (?) Leg, in his 1st life. Everytime MC reincarnated, his injury will getting worse so MC will be more limping than previous life. But in 4th life, ML injured him badly on his already limp leg. In this 5th life, MC couldn't walk without a cane. He will definitely fall without one. And he couldn't even run to save his life.
There are so many arcs here in 5th life, where ML finally can be honest with his own feelings.
This 5th life, MC also tried so hard to make ML and Luce back together. But ML refused divorce many times.
MC also tried to drown himself on the beach, because he thought this life also failure. ML frantically saved him. And then MC rambling about being born many times. And how ML killed him in 1st life and 4th life. ML told MC he never wanted MC to die, he never ordered a kill, and he never told Luce to throw MC out. ML thought MC betrayed him by choosing to moved away.
This life, ML also go to war, but after learning his aide killed MC, in this war, he didn't save his aid from death. He has new aide. And now higher status, as marquees. But then ML met the devine beast whom saved by MC. ML told divine beast to stop tormenting MC by giving him endless reborn. Divine beast said that it hates how ML enter the world he created for MC. Divine beast promised not to add more reincarnation, if ML pass the test. ML memories of loving MC were all erased. ML returned home from war, not remembering his own husband. Even in battlefield, everyone knew ML loved MC a lot by reading letter over and over.
Anyway, this amnesia arc isn't that anxt. It end quickly. ML fell in love again with MC. And divine beast returned his memories.
Anyway there are happy. ML chose not to have any child because it will burden MC body. ML is very very famous as doting husband. Compared to how the story started when the rumors said MC trapped ML in unwanted marriage.

Divine beast, let ML visit the 1st timeline. They are all multiverse, not regression. So the time still flow in 1st life even after MC died.
ML sees his older self (in 1st life), was lonely, depressed, and crazy. There was marriage painting with luce, but it was on the floor and very dusty. Older ML always looking for MC replacement. He always asked his aide to find him men who look like MC. But even if they were very alike, older ML will hate it because the smile or laugh differently. And the aide enjoyed that all those people being turned away.
ML thought that older ML was foolish to kill his own the love of his life. But ML also grateful he had a second chance to ammend and followed MC to this new world. ML sent like some of his voice and older ML can hear it.
ML return to present time, he left just very shortly so MC never knew he left. ML have another fear. He fear that the other MLs, from 1st - 3rd lifetimw, what if they all sought black magic and find MC in this world, but he vows he will never let any harm to MC.


I don't tell much about this lifetime but there's a lotbof arc. And no. ML don't cheat on MC with this world luce
