I think the only unique thing about this story is the plot

Honesty to me what made me read this at first was the plot about the bombs was like training and all that it hit me like codename Anastasia (the plot at the beginning)
Honestly speaking I really think these type of manhwas will be peak without romance or if they romance is a sub plot because (to me) it feels like these semes wanna assert dominance over the ukes which to them is rape well honestly kinda tired of all these because it’s so damn normalized that talking about it makes people think you are morally superior or something
See, idgaf about fictional rape. I'm not gonna yuck someone else's yum. But when it is as brutal as this, I do wonder, how do you guys enjoy this narratively?
Like it makes sense to enjoy this if you had a prolonged arc of redemption and groveling and crying seme type stuff but these kind of MLs (Zhenya, Ilay, etc) are explicitly known for the fact that they don't even APOLOGIZE let alone have any SHRED of remorse and regret.
Like how is the plot satisfying to you all at all? How can you stay invested in the relationship when it is so unequal and so cruel to one half of the pairing?
I hate plots like this without redemption arcs because it turns the potential of a suffering uke and reduces it to turning them into a lawn chair for the Seme who always gets their way because they are hot and because Stockholm Syndrome.
Like genuinely what about their romance makes any of this narratively satisfying? I'm not talking about morals here. This is a fictional story. Obviously rape in any relationship is NEVER going to be morally permissible.
I'm asking about what makes this even remotely satisfying as a story arc in a romance without ANY prospect of redemption or consideration or remorse from the aggressing party.
