I mean idk if it’s that unfair, how would you feel if you literally got kidnapped and were gonna be sold to some noble to be raped and then when you try to escape you fall off a cliff and end up being taken anyways. Then the person who saves you doesn’t let you go outside of the house and says you gotta be their mate? Maybe he wasn’t the one who kidnapped him initially but he still takes him for himself, he did save him but that came with a price.
I feel like it’s understandable to be upset at that and he can’t really do anything besides listen since he’s still injured. Yeah he’s a bit mean, but once they get to know each other more I’m sure he’ll warm up a bit, right now he only has his words to defend himself so I feel it’s understandable he would be a bit more harsh with them.
What I mean by that is the ML can overpower him easily and appears to have no problem touching him as we’ve seen with the bathroom situation so like if you can’t fight back physically why wouldn’t you try using your words, which he is doing and standing up for himself however he can.
I totally agree with this, because I’ve been reading this for like six chapters now and the MC is seriously starting to annoy me. I understand his frustration and what he went through, but the problem is that he’s taking all of that anger out on the wrong person.
Like, when ml asked what a “monster” was, the people who were literally going to rape him were the actual monsters. The ML did killed people in past.But did the MC ever stop and ask WHY he did it? No. Instead, he keeps acting like the ML is the person who has wronged him.
And yes, I understand that the ML is keeping him there against his will. I’m not denying that. But the MC also knows that if he just wanders off into the wild alone, he’ll probably be killed. The ML knows that too. He saved him, treated his injuries, bathed him, took care of him, and is basically keeping him alive when he can barely even move on his own right now. So obviously the situation is complicated.
I understand why the MC is angry, especially after everything that happened to him, but he’s taking that anger out on someone who actually saved him instead of the people who were responsible for what happened to him in the first place.
And honestly, the ML has been ridiculously patient with him so far. This guy has apparently been living alone in the wilderness and completely outside normal society for months, so obviously his understanding of human interaction and social boundaries is going to be different. That doesn't automatically make everything he does okay, but at least he’s showing some form of humanity.
So yeah, I can understand the MC’s frustration, but I also think people need to look at the entire situation instead of treating the ML as if he’s somehow equivalent to the people who actually tried to hurt him.

I'm not annoyed with the Bottom's feelings. He has good reasons to be scared and angry. His feelings are totally valid. And I know the Top isn't an innocent man. He's taking advantage of the situation to keep the Bottom against his will because he's lonely. So I understand why the Bottom has some hatred for him.
What annoys me is his behavior and his actions. I'll explain.
He knows he's basically dead meat without the Top right now. So instead of keeping his head down and playing along until he finds a way to escape, he constantly goes off on him and screams the most foolish things at him : I'll kill you. You disgust me. You live in the forest like a beast. You're worse than a beast. He also punched him and tried to beat him.
The Top never did any of that. Not even after getting hurt, because yeah words hurt. And even if it's a child who punches you, it still hurts. So you should never put your hands on someone when you're not being attacked and you're clearly at a disadvantage. So far, the Top has been gentle and hasn't tried to harm him so why start shit when you're at a disadvantage ?
And despite his bad attitude, the Top has shown a considerable amount of patience and care toward the Bottom. He found him injured, brought him somewhere safe, treats his wounds, takes care of his legs, feeds him, bathes him, helps him when he needs to use the toilet, and generally takes care of him without acting bothered by how much work it is. He even treats his legs so that they can heal, despite the fact that eventually this gives the Bottom the ability to leave.
He hasn't been cruel to him or deliberately tried to hurt him. What I'm saying is that, despite the Top's lack of understanding of boundaries, he's actually been remarkably patient with someone who constantly screams at him, try to belittle him, and hits him.
The bed scene especially annoyed me. The Top was trying to sleep beside the Bottom and touched his waist. The Top was clearly crossing a boundary here, and I'm not excusing that at all. Given everything the Bottom had just experienced, I completely understand why that immediately made him afraid that the Top might sexually assault him.
What I'm criticizing is what happened afterward. The Bottom had every right to pull away, tell him not to touch him, push his hand away, get out of the bed, or otherwise make it clear that he didn't consent to being touched. But instead, he immediately escalated the situation into a physical confrontation. Even though he knew he was severely injured and at a huge physical disadvantage.
So I'm not saying "He shouldn't have been afraid", I'm saying that the way he chose to respond was so unnecessarily aggressive : He punched him in the face, tried to beat him, called him disgusting, and insulted the way he lives to belittle him, saying he's worse than a beast.
Like...what level of foolishness is that ? His fear is understandable, but those insults were completely unnecessary. And you're saying all of this to someone you literally cannot survive without at that moment. And you're also putting your hands on someone who can swallow you whole ? That's what frustrates me about his personality.
The way he acts and the way he speaks to someone who is literally keeping him alive are incredibly frustrating to watch.
And the panel with the deer and berries is what really annoyed the hell out of me. The Top comes back from hunting carrying food for them, and the Bottom goes : Do you know what people think about you ? They think you're a monster.
Like...why ? What was the purpose of saying that at that moment ? It wasn't defending himself or setting a boundary. It was just completely unprovoked, so unnecessary, and so damn hurtful.
That's exactly the kind of behavior I'm talking about. I'm not saying "How dare he be angry at the Top after everything that happened to him?" I'm saying "I completely understand why he's angry, but why is he being such an asshole to the person who is currently keeping him alive ? Why is he doing everything to make the situation worse by getting him to hate him ? Doesn't he know it could be much worse than that ?"
The Top has the power to mistreat him, rape him, beat him, starve him, let his wounds go untreated, make him work, sell him, chain him inside the house, let him humiliate himself trying to go pee/poop by himself, drop him where he found him and leave, etc.
That's also why I don't completely agree with the argument that his harshness is simply him defending himself. He absolutely has the right to say no, refuse affection and defend himself verbally. But that doesn't mean every cruel thing he says/does automatically becomes justified because he's in a vulnerable position.
I'm judging his personality based on what he's actually doing so far, and right now I find him very dislikable. That's just my opinion.

I like the plot and the art, and the Top too but the Bottom will give me a hard time because of his bad personality.
The Top is so gentle, devoted, and caring. It frustrates me that he's paired with such a disrespectful, big mouthed Bottom who has so little control over his emotions that he lashes out, says incredibly hurtful things and unfairly takes his own frustrations and misfortune out on him.
For me the only good thing about him right now is that he's taking care of his disabled father, which shows that he has some good character. But whenever I see those speech or thought bubbles…good God.
