As far as i remember, at the start the mc dies right after he gets this body pillow that he loves and he crashes out about it in this cloud area where a bunch of other dead people are. there is a being, forget if it was an animal with wings or an angel, who comes to talk to him and tells him that there is another way for him to live again. the way to do that is to take on a quest and complete it for a reward which is life.
he ends up tricking the mc into taking a really undesirable quest, that is to get the ml to not kill him (I forget if it included having the ml fall in love with him). This quest makes it so that if he fails and dies he is reborn again and has to do it all over again, only in a different world. so the first world is a pretty quick death where he gets stabbed by the ml. the next world i forget what it was. there are two main worlds that we see, one in the modern world and one in like a chinese historical ninja one idk how to describe it.
in the historical one he meets the ml as a child and they end up training together and the mc saves him and i think gets poisoned, i don't really remember this one very well. in the modern one the ml does end up falling in love with him but the mc doesn't really know i don't think. the mc ends up meeting another character who is also doing a quest that he met in a different world, i think the character is a doctor. anyways something happens and he ends up dying in this world while the ml is in the hospital.
usually the world gets erased once the mc dies, but we see the ml coming back to the house and it being empty, i think the world breaks after that. the last chapter i read ends on it being back in that historical ish vibe with the mc on a boat eating a piece of hay. I think it was around 46/56 chapters at the time i read it and it's been a few years at this point. It had similar art to like 19 days and i believe it was a manhua

Calling this ridiculous when all I said was are we going to breeze past the fact that the Mc is being assaulted and that the step dad guy (what I meant by evil guy) could be a ml candidate, I didn’t add this but I saw things saying that he might also try to assault him and that he’s making suggestive comments that’s why I mentioned him. I only read a few chapters so idk what the current situation is.
I just am disappointed because I was expecting to read something good because of the high rating and then I saw the assault and people calling the angel guy hot and saying that he could do things to them too. It’s just icky because if it was someone who was not drawn in an attractive way the comments would not be the same. It’s just weird that people just ignore it like it’s nothing or romanticizing it. My original question was about the ratings and how people reading this can just skip past the assault scenes. I never said that if there was assault it should automatically be rated low or that it was glorifying it. My problem was with nobody mentioning it and the people making the comments I mentioned as well as the way it is drawn. If you look at the panels it is very clearly being eroticized even if the Mc is saying and thinking that he doesn’t want it. There was not even a warning about noncon even though him thinking and saying he doesn’t want it shows that it is.
If it was dealt with properly when it came up and not made into some erotic fantasy I would not be as upset as I am and I feel like people wouldn’t be making the same comments as they did. I was upset because when I looked at the comments there were not a lot of people mentioning the assault and instead commenting on the looks of the angel or the step dad. Reading the comments on a story is kinda important to me because I like discussing theories and plot points and to just see people simping over someone who assaulted Mc and someone who is making predatory comments to Mc is off putting for me.
Then I have to reassure you, if you look into the older comments, there are people talking about the assault and all. I think that the more recent comments are only related to the most recent chapter release. And since there is no actual assault in it, people aren't bringing it up, that's all.
There should def be some trigger warnings for this, but I'm sure that if you actually paid to read this on the official sites, you won't miss those trigger warnings.
I did end up taking a look back into the comments and I see you are right, I should have gone back before but seeing people make those comments in the first place is what got me upset. Especially after reading the chapter you mentioned, since it seems like the step dad wants to assault mc and is making some predatory comments about him.
About the trigger warnings usually there are some that are shown on here especially if it is the official translation being released or the translator on here will add it.
