I'm almost done with the novel but apparently when he was really young he was abused. In this one instance, he was injected with aphrodisiac along with the dogs in a confined space, and within this confined space, dogs were in cages and were also injected with aphrodisiac. I guess the point was just to instill fear on to him. Anyways this confined space is his trauma area.
The living room that leads to this confined space is also an area where all illegal things take place, owned by his half-brother, Jin hyeok. After he was taken from the confined space by one of his brother's men, little Seunghyeok became an audience to his brother having sex with someone and they didn't give a shit whether there was a kid watching them or not. From then on, I guess that act was what solidified his hate for queers given the fact that he already hates his half-brother. I think the scene at the club in chapter 3 in this manhwa reminded him of that memory, hence why he lashed out and beat the man.
During their time in high school, despite the fact that he indeed hate them, Seunghyeok had no issues having intense skinship with Inhyeon. In fact, he loved it, although not said outright. It's all because of Chanyang and his blackmail to Inhyeong that further worsened his homophobic hatred towards gay people. He thought Inhyeon had betrayed him, after moments and moments that he needed Inhyeon at his worst, at their last encounter.
That wasn't the case at all. Inhyeon, because he was blackmailed by Chanyang, was just doing his best to protect Seunghyeok since Chanyang had taken a video of Seunghyeok murdering someone. Inhyeon was afraid Chanyang was gonna put Seunghyeok behind bars due to this incriminating evidence (fun fact the video was blurry so you can't even tell if its truly him anyway, even though its infact him).
But Inhyeon was hell-bent on zipping his mouth on this situation even to Seunghyeok himself that eventually got them into what they are now. I can't blame him because to him, Seunghyeok never knew Inhyeon was aware Seunghyeok kills people. (This infuriated me because ML had dropped so many hints that he kills people to MC)
In his mind, the video was just a sex tape of Chanyang and Inhyeon that MC tried hard to conceal, so Seunghyeok thought he was betrayed, not to mention how Inhyeon began distancing himself from Seunghyeok leading to this tragedy (In a nutshell, Inhyeon realized Seunghyeok was a raging homophobe, but he liked him. But he doesn't want the consequences of SK finding out he's gay so he distanced himself).
Now imagine Seunghyeok realizing all of this eventually + how he treated Inhyeon after their reunion. THAT YEARNING IS GONNA BE GOOOD HENNI
