Eyup. The extra chapters and sequel were a MUCH needed chaser for this scene.
After reading the novel, the extras and the sequel I can honestly say this is rick’s lowest moment before he starts to grow into something better, and it makes those books very satisfying. But in order to get there the author sets the bar way waaay down in hell with this.

Don't know if those extras will get an adaptation or not but I hope it does cause manhwa readers are definitely going to be very disappointed
you’ll be delighted to hear that in the sequel tay actually starts to enjoy and wants sex with rick, after rick starts actually trying yay, bare minimum achieved!!!!
the follow-ups do succeed in making their ending feel genuinely romantic, I don’t think I would have enjoyed the story half as much without them, and I would highly recommend them if you wish it ended on a different note with more growth.
