It’s good that the way the artist adapted doesn’t make it look positive it seems, taeui looks like he absolutely despises it and Ilay in here looks evil af (and he is).
One of the things the artist did well on is showing how ilay is a really cruel person, yet he can be gentle in a graceful way, it’s kinda interesting for his very violent character. Whenever he sees taeui cry, he always wipes his tears gently. and in the previous episodes even though he is very violent, he always noticed the little things, like holding taeui gently, caring for his leg, patting his head, and in the novel even kissing him in the library (I think..? I forgot) but in the end he always ends up getting what he wants, inflating that big ass ego.
I would compare Ilay more to an animal then a human, he is called a monster by others and is always saying he wants to “eat” taeui, it’s morally wrong, but it’s considered part of his nature. Taeui seems to be more a carefree type, one who goes with the flow, but can always adapt to the situation, even terrible ones. altho it’s fitting for their personalities, I think most of us agree those sa scenes were not necessary
