From what I 'heard' (not sure if it's just a rumor or from the novel. I forgot lmao): 1. The king is Ava himself, the Ava cult leader. 2. Before Camilla was born, the cult got a prophecy that a newborn child will grow up and destroy them for good. So if they didn't want that to happen, they must kill the newborn before he/she grows up. 3. Ava cult have an item (I think it's the mirror) that can detect which one of the newborn is the one who was prophecied to ruin the cult. 4. Dorman was also one of the cult's victims when he was human. His younger brother got his body stolen to the cult. So when Dorman knew about the prophecy, he INTENTIONALLY swap the souls. 5. After Dorman swapped the souls, the Ava cult didn't find anyone that fit their prediction and thought it was just a hoax. So they live happily and continue to grow the cult. 6. The reason Dorman swap the souls are because a newborn is too weak to fight a whole cult group. 7. After the condition is right, the souls are now swap back to their original body. Dorman thinks that he already bought enough time for Camilla to finally fight the cult. ... But take this with a pinch of salt. Coz I'm not sure if I got these info correctly or not lmao
