This was kinda mid and I wished it wasn't cause I do enjoy a well made thriller, black flag yaoi. It felt a bit shallow and it's still hard to tell who the ML is, how he came to be this way. We did get just a slight background info on his twisted motivations around lust, inflexible thinking and the need to orchestrate a narrative, but nothing that truly explained how he became so obsessive and disturbed in his cognition, just the mention of his mother being as similarly manipulative. Doesn't seem like she is as extreme though, seeing the relationship with her husband at first glance. I like the concept though, some of the plot twists around the MC' struggles especially, but the execution was just not on the same level as the weight and depravity of the themes in this. None of the intensity was felt, not in writing, characterization, dimensionality or even the art style.
