Nah that's pretty accurate for a historical corset. Same set up as a shoe lace. Undo the knot and the rest can easily be pulled to loosen

Well no, it is secure. And bc it's an undergarment you can't access the corset through the dress. The dress seems to have clasps but those weren't common at the time so historical dresses were often sewn together while it was on.

The ones I tried on had some embroidery and the one I liked was 150. Tho that was a half corset so it didn't cover the bust.
Wish we could add pics bc it was absolutely gorgeous, was brown with pale golden embroidery all over. I just needed to go down a size since corsets will "loosen" with time and as they adjust to your body.
She had a full that was a recreation of 1860s I have seen and I believe that was closer to 300.
It depends on who you get one from and how much work goes into it.
They're incredibly comfortable if you wear them right and get the right size. Think like a bra or compression sleeve. It just hugs you and with the boning it holds you upright and helps take some of the weight of a chest and back.
