Yuri’s reaction was pretty calm. It’s complicated to explain, because after Yuri told him that it didn’t bother him at all, Xinlu started opening up about his feelings. He said that being with Taeui was fun, and that everything he was feeling was a first for him. Yuri just listened while Xinlu talked.
Then Xinlu went on to say that Taeui had also told him that the only reason Xinlu wanted him was because he hated Ilay. And Xinlu actually admitted that part of the reason he wanted to take Taeui away was because he wanted to make Ilay suffer.
After that, Xinlu started wondering: if all of that wasn’t what it meant to like someone, then what did “liking someone” actually mean? “Am I incapable of liking someone?”
That was when Yuri finally explained to Xinlu that love isn’t always intense.
He doesn't care. Xinlu does some reflection and realises he probably doesn't like Taeui. And iirc Yuri gives him some wisdom on what it means to love somebody
