okay so… there’s something i’ve read in this discussion that’s kind of bothering me. i liked the ending, and its clear ian and tj were made for each other but their past traumas, life choices and the organization had all been a wall for their feelings, making them show them in a toxic way. in the end, they finally managed to love each other without any obstacles and anxieties. but to say ian never felt something for jo is wrong, because in chap 98 it CLEARLY says, when jo asks him if he ever truly loved him or if the feelings he had received were all a lie, ian says: "yes, i did. none of that was ever a lie. i wanted to keep doing that if... i could".
he did feel something for jo. he says he did love him, even if it was fleeting. that happened, and now tj and ian love each other and are happy together. both things are true and there’s no need to state one didn’t happen to back up a point :/
