Why does the author keep doing this?

Ever since last chapter, they'll give a little bit of lore, and then go back to sex. And the lore isn't really news; it's part of a storyline that's already been wrapped up--and reminds me that the MC left his own family just to hang out and sleep with ML despite everyone experiencing trauma.

And I'm confused; the family wants more sacrificial candidates, thus why they send away the alphas--but this is an omegaverse, where alphas are at the top of the food chain. They should have some value. And it's never said WHERE they went; it was said in ch 36 and 82 that they were simply sent away. Is there a purpose to these flashbacks? Is MC gonna get his relatives back? This is only like 15% plot.

I think part of this is to give more context as to why Jae-on is so close with his family and why he was aside from meeting Sir why he was adamant in being the next maker of the sacrifices. He was conditioned and because of what his mom was going through made into wanting it as well. I also think this is the author’s way of letting us know they will make a baby (“cause having a baby with someone you love is already a miracle “)

And well he didnt leave his fam cause he wanted he left so that his mom wasnt made to bear more children and to keep them safe and give them a better life. The main fam had offered him to give them a better life if he was eaten by the snake god and after not kill them if he didnt run away. So he was threatened into leaving them. Alsooo his family already got saved when Jae-on basically burned the main house, the head of the family was in charge of making things better (his sister) ah and in this version omegas are treated better but still abused is complex also idk what they do with the bby alphas :( maybe kill them

He isn't really that close; most of the 82 chapters have shown nothing with his family and focus on his romance. I'm sure he's having a baby, too--but it's sad that his family stuff leads back to ML.

I'm talking about when he left his family circa 10-15 chapters ago after his relative took the family down.

And about the omegas; they're only valued as sacrifices; the flashback explicitly shows that omegas still faced discrimination and poor treatment. There's nothing in this world that shows any omegas but sacrifices are treated "better"--and even that is dubious since his omega dad is continually forced to have kids and they're taken away.
