I hate that I like the premise so much when the execution for this has been absolute dogshit.
Despite only knowing MC as his past life self for a single chapter, I found him much cooler and more interesting than as he is now reborn. It was like his lack of power gave him a quality that's very sorely lacking in his OP self.
Say nothing about the plot, pacing and dialogue.
It has all elements you can think of that would go into a work like this, but instead of taking the time to slowly piece it all together like a well made puzzle, it's like the author slapped them forcefully in place while blind folded and had One Piece playing as background audio.
(And I love One Piece).
Idk why I'm being so critical I think it just got to me because I'm also a fan of the type of character MC wanted to become, and so maybe I had a little expectation going in. Ah well.
