From my perspective, uke craves a normal family, and the feelings of seme were in the way. After he ran away, he wanted revenge for all the humiliation as well as make seme at the lowest emotionally, so he will lose these feelings. And then uke will be free from his past and finally feel more at ease with his parents(?) Some comments mention he could use another method for revenge, but maybe he also has some feelings and it also disgusts him, so he chose to feel humiliated again, so his feelings will drop too.
