this might be the most devoid of romance bl manga ive ever read like seriously i read the whole thing in one go and i cant remember a single compelling human moment between the characters because they only knew each other for like 3 days and the whole time they both felt like two empty robots acting out their weird randomly assigned personality traits. its almost impressive ive never experienced an otherwise non offensive manga able to take me out of the experience so harshly and somehow manage to portray the characters as really shitty robotic actors. then because the plot and romance were so nonexistant the last chapter really started to piss me off because the author/mangaka kept insiting on pontificating the definition of "love" after repeatedly telling and not showing us the chararters supposedly falling in love. the sub was apparently too stupid and prejudiced to even bother trying to understand his own condition until i guess he suddenly snaps out of it on his own and doesnt even really show or explain why just randomly and silently feels better somehow between the first and second plays?? and he d&s and s&m conflation was just stupid and annoying as fuck... idk i just feel like the characters really didn't fall in love in any emotional way they just kind of grew comfortable with each other but it was an otherwise very physical very contractual b(ds)m relationship which wouldve been completely fine on its own like this manga couldve even been a good showcase that bdsm relationships can be contractual and not romantic at all and be very fulfilling, but instead the mangaka had to instead start to ramble at the end and try to insist that love is too rigidly defined and lets just completely change that definition to now force this weird nothing burger couple into that definition...
