0/10, if John Smith was victimized

This gives major white colonizers, slavery, etc. There is nothing that could make me like Hill, like he has some audacity to complain about freedom when he has no empathy at all for Crispin's people being murder and raped and forced to give birth to children. It's giving indigenous people's men getting murder and keeping the women as sex slavers and baby machines. Crispin is wayyyyyy wayy more lenient than I could ever be, Hill felt sorry for his brother when his brother was the biggest offenser under his father. It's like Crispin tortured him, oh he put him in a comfy room and gave him good meals, but he wasn't allowed to roam, oh boohoo, treated way better than any captive of war. They didn't even tortured him. Did Hill forgot that his brother was going to make him have a abortion? Let's not even talk about the plot of the brother using the doctor (whose name is escaping me) for sexual release and being a awful person in general.

Yet Hill never gave a shit that Crispin was always in chains and drugged, then has the audacity to ask if Crispin loves him, maybe ask him when he actually has a choice and not when he is still your slave. Forgot about the whole pregnancy thing, he says he wanted to give birth, then felt like it was a torture than Crispin made him do?? Like be fr. Then after he leaves, he gets mad that Crispin didn't contact him? Then wants to pretend he cares about his child.
He blames Crispin for everything when Chrispin gave him everything he wanted and more, its not like Crispin started killing innocent people, he instead harmonized everyone. He'll, he didnt even kill Hill's father (although Hill blames him), the people kill him because he is a asshole.

There is so many things I'm missing to write, but this is all I remember after 2 months to write this. I honestly thought Hill would change and see the pain Crispin's people were going through and help with the revenge, nope, he stays the most selfish person in the world.
I stuck through it honestly for the side couple, that had chemistry and you can see the character development.
