It's a whole thing in some east asian countries. They are porn brains and I saw a documentary once where the dude told (he was European, but living there) that while sex a lot of the women there go "please don't, it hurts" and when he stopped (obviously because he thought it hurt her), they told him they liked it and the second he started again it started again and then he understood it's really just a thing a lot of women do there because it's the sex culture over there to pretend like that. He was so disgusted
That is genuinely so off putting! I knew that SA fetishizing was heavy in certain medias since it’s been a constant topic surrounding BL works, but that really solidified the ick of it all.
You’d think they’d tap into what global audiences think once in a while though like “hey, turns out some people think this works better when we allow them to have chemistry instead of glorifying rape all the time!”

The trope of one partner saying they’re holding back and the other partner telling them to stop holding back, only to immediately start complaining/saying to stop once they start having sex. Like, does the author not realize how ridiculous it looks?
Why does it always have to be SA or pseudo SA/boundary pushing with these authors when they’ve clearly set up the character to willingly match their freak.
