It’s incredible how, in these josei stories, the female antagonists always turn out to be pathetic bitches. I wish they were better written—proper, full-fledged villains rather than just envious, classist idiots.
I’d also love to see some genuine female solidarity; unfortunately, it always seems like the world revolves around the male lead of the moment, while the female lead exists in a sort of frozen state, just waiting to reunite with him...
