I think that the worldbuilding would have been more interesting if this arc hadn't been going for so long, moreover presenting a nesting structure where it is the consequence of previous arcs (go to the island -> get robbed -> go to the ruins -> go in a fucking place which is another world/hell/heaven, whatever -> overthrow the justice system of that world). At this point the story has completely digressed from what it was before the island and you need some mental juggling to reconnect angels and mages. Fuck the plot of rich people oppressing the poors, fuck the plot of a school for mages I guess
Why am I getting attached to party 3? Oh no, they are going to die, aren't they? Every single time they make a wholesome moment someone end up dying ╥﹏╥
knowing how they did us dirty before I can totally see how everyone but the leader might die and he's then forever traumatised and asks' to be absorbed ╥﹏╥
